Charlotte Linlin, usually known as Big Mom, is the captain of the Big Mom Pirates and the only female member of the Four Emperors those rule the New World.
Toto Land is an archipelago in the New World and the main territory of Big Mom, she is its queen. Her dream is to make somewhere everyone of all the world's races can live in peace together without any kind of discrimination or segregation. She is the matriarch of the Charlotte Family that makes up her crew, she has married several times and had many children from different races.
Big Mom has been abandoned by her parents, so she was looked After by Mother Carmel, a child trafficker who wanted to sell her. Big mom really loved Carmel, but without knowing on her sixth Birthday she caused Carmel's disappearance and inherited her power.
After the death of Whitebeard, who protected the Fish-Man's Island, Big Mom left the territory under her protection, but when luffy got there, challenging her, he took over the Fish-Man Island to him, Luffy also totally ruined her daughter's wedding, that's why she hates him.
She is now one of the Four Emperors, captain of his own crew and the queen of Toto Land, but in the past she was a member of the Rox Pirates those who ruled the seas before the rise of Gol D. Roger, she is currently in an alliance with Kaido who was also a member of the Rox Pirates.
