Kaido is the captain of the Beast Pirates, he is known as the "Strongest Creature" and also as "Kaido of the Beasts". He is now one of the Four Emperors, the four pirates those actually rule the New World, and has his own crew, but he was a member of the legendary Rox Pirates, those who ruled the seas before the rise of Gol D. Roger.
His base is on Onigashima, an island From Wano Country, the Wano's Shogun, Kurozumi Orochi, was his ally until he decided to create the "New Onigashima" and kill Orochi, his plan was to make his son Yamato the new Shogun. Recently he allied Big Mom an old member of the Rox Pirates and also member of the Four Emperors.
As he has ruled Wano for the last two decades alongside Orochi, he is the primary antagonist of the Wano Country Arc, Luffy once tried to beat him using Gear Fourth, although Kaido defeated him with just a stroke of his club.
